Oktoberfest Fort Worth Kicks off Today at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth

The three-day festival will take place at The Shack at Panther Island Pavilion and stay true to a traditional Munich-style celebration.

What:            The three day festival, presented by Spaten and benefiting the Trinity River Vision Authority, will stay true to the traditional, Munich-style Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest Fort Worth guests will enjoy traditional German food, bier, live music, dancing, shopping vendors and much more. The festival kicks off with Thursday’s ceremonial ‘Tapping of the Kegs’ and the fun continues through Saturday with dachshund races, German style competitions, Oktoberfest Olympics, the Oktoberfest Run und Ride and more.

                      Tonight, City of Fort Worth Mayor Pro-Tem Dennis Shingleton will kick-off Oktoberfest Fort Worth with a traditional tapping of the kegs ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. in Spaten Halle in The Shack at Panther Island Pavilion.
